THE_ CLIENT

Leeds City Council have a dedicated smoking cessation service providing one-to-one or group support with one of their health and wellbeing coaches over 12 weeks. They use a proven mix of encouraging behavioural support and Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) OR Prescription Only Medication to help you to quit and quit for good. You are four times more likely to succeed by working with them than doing it alone. Everything that they provide is completely free of charge supported by multiple service providers.

The_ CHALLENGE

We were approached by Leeds City Council to help with a videography campaign to promote their ‘Be Smoke-Free ‘services. We have 3 main target demographics whom we had to focus on and that was pregnant women aged 18-30, ethnic minority men aged 45-60, and taxi/transport drivers due to their lifestyles & health implications smoking can cause.

The_ RESULTS

We created a 2 minute campaign video showcasing the life of 3 individuals in real-life scenarios, making it as relatable as we possibly could for the end-user. The stories included a young pregnant woman, a taxi driver, and an ethnic minority male with his niece, using a narrative story put together by a screenwriter, with a voiceover by a Yorkshire artist. The final video has now been seen and used across Yorkshire to support Leeds City Council offering their ‘Be Smoke Free’ Services free of charge to anyone who is wanting to stop smoking.
